NEW MUSIC FRIDAY: IMAINA, PAAK, Jee Tea and many more
Discover all the new releases of the week by Belgian artists.

💿 IMAINA releases new EP 'Solamente Asi', 6 tracks in Spanish, English and French where pop sounds blend with South American rhythms, in a return to roots both musically and personally.
With 'Solamente así', IMAINA explores what it means to return to one's roots without seeking to recapture an idealized past. Born into two cultures, Belgian and Bolivian, the artist draws on her childhood memories, relationships, and the departures that have shaped her identity. The EP's title evokes an idea of acceptance: working with what is, rather than trying to fix or erase everything. Musically, the EP blends indie-pop, reggaeton, baile funk, cumbia, and Latin-pop, while also reconnecting with more organic sounds through guitars, the charango (an emblematic stringed instrument of the Andes), and the saxophone. The EP includes the singles 'Sirena del Desamor' and 'Come Back'. The Brussels-based singer presented her new songs live at Le Botanique some days ago.
💿 With his debut EP 'Someone Somewhere Somehow', PAAK tells the story of the search for connection, love, and recognition. The songs are inspired by various people, places, and moments in his life, navigating relatable experiences regarding love and dating within the queer community.
The EP ranges from intense attraction and desire to ghosting, heartbreak, and the emotional ambivalence of hookup culture. 'Breathe' centers on the longing to be completely close to someone, while insecurity and loneliness remain palpable beneath that attraction. 'Somewhere Somehow', featuring Madeline Roose, looks back at a relationship that has ended but never quite lets go; a chance encounter stirs up old feelings and the question of what might have been. A recurring theme runs through the EP: not everyone stays, but every encounter leaves a mark. Even after disappointment, the hope remains that—somewhere, somehow—everything will fall into place with the right person.
💿 Charlotte Adigery & Bolis Pupul release 'From Healer to Dealer' and announced their second album, 'Mainland Madinina', out on 5 February 2027. With plenty of humor and irony (very them), they tackle our contemporary obsession with personal development. Not to criticize well-being itself, but rather to question what happens when the quest for inner peace becomes an obsession. Why do we constantly strive to get better without ever truly succeeding? Why do we feel this constant pressure to work on ourselves to become an ever-more perfect version of ourselves?
💿 Jee Tea presents new single 'Never Let Go', mixing piano melodies, a nostalgic atmosphere and powerful sounds, with an energy resolutely focused on festivals.
💿 Belgian-Japanese electro-pop duo Aili & Orson (Aili Maruyama and Orson Wouters) return with 'Keitai', the second single from their upcoming album 'Care Wa Doko? ' (due early 2027).
Forged in the Belgian alternative club scene and rooted in the nuances of Japanese culture, Aili & Orson combine a high-end, minimalist aesthetic with accessible DIY energy. 'Keitai' (Japanese for mobile phone) digs in on a ubiquitous modern reality: the smartphone is everywhere. It lives in our palms, our pockets, and on top of our tables. We take it with us to the toilet like a best friend, leave it on our nightstands, and let it constantly interrupt human interaction.
💿 Charlotte de Witte’s new EP ‘Azadi’ feat. NAVA is where techno meets Farsi, where organic art meets AI, where music meets technology, becoming a focus of resistance, hope and freedom. The three-tracker aims to be just that - the title track ‘Azadi’ (‘freedom’ in Farsi) especially is already igniting her sets, ‘Omid’ (‘hope’) and ‘Tales of the Desert’. All the proceeds from the EP will go to Femena who support Women Human Rights Defenders & feminist organizations & movements in MENA & Asia. It will be out in physical editions on 11 December.
