Belgium's Music Industry Awards

The MIA's (Music Industry Awards) are back in February 2027 to award the best Belgian artists, most notably in Flanders. The MIAs are an initiative of VRT and VI.BE, the support point for the artist and music sector. An extensive jury of Flemish music professionals at radio, television, written press and online music media has selected 5 contenders per category.

Pommelien Thijs was once again the undisputed star of the MIA’s. She entered the evening with nine nominations and left with five awards, winning every public-voted category in which she was nominated: Album for 'Gedoe', Dutch-language, Pop, Solo Artist, and Hit of the Year 2025 for 'Atlas'.

The result brought Pommelien's career total to an extraordinary 17 MIA’s, putting her just behind Stromae in the all-time ranking. It was also the fourth consecutive year in which she emerged as the artist winning the most awards. Particularly remarkable was 'Atlas': the song gave her a fourth consecutive Hit of the Year award. And Pommelien wasn't only collecting trophies. She was among the night's live performers, alongside Bazart, Dressed Like Boys, Kaat Van Stralen, Metejoor, Red Sebastian and Zwangere Guy.

Nominees and performers are yet to be announced. The ceremony will take place on 3 February 2027 at Brussels' ING Arena. Tickets will go on sale from 30 October at 08:00. Get your tickets here.
