Meet Kristo, the solo project of Belgian artist, composer and multi-instrumentalist Kristiaan Deruytter. Driven by musical craftsmanship and artistic integrity, he blends funk, soul and alternative R&B with a deep love for classic songwriting. With echoes of Prince and D’Angelo, alongside contemporary artists such as Dijon, Yebba and Jordan Rakei, his music feels timeless yet modern, with an intuitive pop sensibility that is distinctly his own.

His new single 'Affinity', out on 29 October, finds Kristo balancing his pop instincts with deep-pocket funk. Built around an infectious vocal hook and an outrageously tight bass-and-drum groove, it leaves very little room to stand still. The track nods to the polished grooves of Parcels and The Whitest Boy Alive while remaining looser and rougher around the edges. Perfect for late night dancing in sweaty clubs under dim lights.

His 16-track debut album, 'Eternal Love', arrives on 1 December 2026 as an independent release. In an increasingly fast-moving music industry, 'Eternal Love' makes a case for taking your time: for the artist to follow his instincts and build a musical world of his own, and for the listener to explore it. Kristo wrote or co-wrote every song, co-produced the album and played almost every instrument himself, moving between guitar, bass, keys, drums and vocals. Recorded, produced and mixed by Boris Van Overschee (Delv!s, Lefto, Portland and Eefje de Visser), the album features the Heavy Horns — Frank Deruytter on tenor saxophone, Carlo Mertens on trombone and Nico Schepers on trumpet — alongside backing vocals by Eva Rose and Julia Adriana, strings by Koen Rens and additional drums by Wout Helsen.

The artist will present his new music live in two intimate shows across the country:
