AB celebrates new season with 5 open door days with free concerts
September 2026

From Wednesday 16 to Sunday 20 September, AB's throwing its doors wide open for a five-day housewarming event. On Wednesday, the revamped AB Salon will host a screening of SǒN by Micha Volders and Mutropia – a poetic portrait of a former Thai boxer, complete with live soundtrack. On Thursday, we’ll raise a glass at the opening of Back/Stage, an exhibition of work by in-house photographer Willem Mevis. Afterwards, catch a concert in the AB Salon by Brussels-based artist Gaminconnu – curated by Willem himself.
On Friday, Youth L'AB presents a 100% Brussels line-up featuring CalligraFFerz, Adnae, Yannick Wouters Opoku and UITWEG, while Saturday will see OFA COLLECTIF curating a diverse line-up of its own. Outside, you can browse to your heart’s content at our street market on Anspachlaan and grab a tasty treat at the pop-up bar at what will be the AB Café.
On Car Free Sunday, it’ll start on a peaceful note with a sound healing session in AB Antenna or a Sunday Morning Concert in the AB Salon. Afterwards, you can give Qigong a try or unleash your creative side at a soundscape painting workshop given by Kultura. On Anspachlaan, you can dance to the tunes of Bankra Bike Sound System and the DJs from BRUZZ ICE. Meanwhile, the street market and pop-up bar will keep the atmosphere lively. The ten-piece Sound of Brussels Orchestra will wrap things up with a fantastic concert in the Main Hall.
There’s plenty to celebrate during our housewarming: a revamped AB, a packed concert season and a great tagline for everything they want to create and experience together: Home of Music. Welcome!
